CFI NEWS:
Congratulations to Quentin Carter on passing his CFI flight test this week. Quentin has agreed to be CFI until we complete our search for the ideal CFI for the Sunshine Coast Aero Club. We are very fortunate to have both Quentin and Josh to continue with instructing on a daily basis so we have 7 days of the week covered between the two of them.
We shall be placing an ad shortly for the CFI position. If you know or can refer anyone who you think may be suitable we would love to hear from them.

Just a note for those using the Flight Simulator to not change the settings. It is set as a Cessna 172 at this stage which we are keeping set at the moment as it has been affecting the graphics.
Book in your check flight today! SCHOOL STUDENTS VISIT:
This Monday we will be welcoming 30 or so students and teachers from Burpengarry High School for a visit to the Club and the surroundings. With the support from Airservices ARFFS/ATC , AFT, and the Sunshine Coast Airport this is sure to be an exciting day for them. They will be around from 9.30 to 1.30 pm.

The Mustang P-51 D.
What does the “P” stand for ? The P stands for “Pursuit” This was changed in 1948 to “F” for Fighter. The most widely produced version of theP-51 was the P51D recognizable by its bubble canopy and Rolls Royce Merlin
engine.
Fun Fact: The P-51 Mustang used in Top Gun: Maverick was built in 1946 and Tom Cruise has owned the plane which has an estimated value of $ 4 million dollars.
