Preparations are well underway for THIS SATURDAYS ADF Careers Day. Thank you to those who have let me know you can help. Its not too late if anyone wants to be a part of the team. It was a lot of fun last year. I’ll be doing up a bit of roster today/tomorrow so send me your name and available time and ill happily give you a job! For those visiting on the day, the word is the C17 will be arriving at approximately 8.10 am followed by the ADF Diamond. Further aircraft have not been confirmed as yet., but there will be a presence of Army vehicles and much more.

 Safety Caution
This morning Quentin knocked on the brake lever in Sling 1132 with his watch. This resulted in him landing with a little bit of brake on, which slowed him down faster than expected.
A “timely” caution to confirm on short final that the brake is fully off.
Expect the unexpected and be safe. It can happen to the most experienced instructors and pilots.
Thank you to those members who have taken part in the Crosswind/Taxi runway lessons this week. As mentioned in last weeks Club News, a lesson consisting of taxiing for the full length of the runway at 25 kt will be required by all students and pilots to help preserve the state of your aircraft’s life with improved techniques and will save thousands in repairs, and be a lesson that can be conducted in adverse weather conditions. It appears there may be lengthy delays at the moment in obtaining your aviation medicals. Please do not leave them too long to get renewed or issued. Especially if you are a new student. They are taking approximately 6-8 weeks in some cases. 
As mentioned earlier this week, This Friday from 5pm is your chance to come and chat with the team from Aircraft Australia on your future training progressing from RPC, or to Private Hire the C172.
